The young and dynamic hero of the Tollywood, He is the son of actor Mr. Padmasri Megastar Chiranjeevi and Surekha (daughter of veteran actor and comedian Padmashri Late Dr. Allu Ramalingayya). His uncles(father's brothers), Nagendra Babu is a film producer and a film actor, his youngest uncle, Power Star Pawan Kalyan is also a Telugu film actor. He is also the cousin of actor Allu Arjun.
Charan is 5' 9" (or 175 cm) tall. He has completed his 12th class in Ooty, Tamilnadu. He got trained on basics in acting from Kishore Namit Kapoor in Mumbai. Charan also got special martial art training at Bangkok.
Charan debuted with the movie Chirutha, which was produced by Aswinidutt and directed by Puri Jagannadh. His acting skills in this movie were lauded by the superstar Rajnikanth
Charan says that his dad is his idol and role model, not just in films but also in real life. Charan is determined to live up to the high standards set by his father, the one and only Chiranjeevi.
